Transition Series: Navigating Secondary Transition and Understanding the Process

September 27, 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

This school year, join Stone Soup Group and the Alaska Down Syndrome Network for our 6 session series on what you need to know as you and your student with disabilities prepare for adulthood. It’s never too early to start preparing for adulthood. We encourage parents of students of all ages to participate!

Speakers:

Anna has been involved in social services on and off since she was a young child.  She graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, completed a LEND Fellowship in Disabilities and has experience in Physical, Mental and Developmental disabilities in residential and agency settings.  She has a passion for imparting information to parents and self-advocates through her love of teaching and providing assistance to others on the road of special needs.  In her current position she helps parents find the resources they need for their children, provides school support, teaches parent classes and coordinates the Mentor Parent Program so no one has to walk the road alone.
