Challenge Alaska: Summer Splash

Summer Splash is an annual event held the last Saturday in June of each year and is a partnership between Challenge Alaska, the Palmer Elks Lodge #1842 and the Personal Watercraft Club of Alaska. It is the only adaptive water sports symposium held in Alaska and is celebrating it’s 12th year at the Palmer Elks Lodge.
The event features:
Adaptive and traditional water skiing (with support in the water to start and “chasers” that will assist if the skier needs assistance re-starting after leaving the shore area
Pontoon boat rides
Canoeing and kayaking
Power tube rides (three person tubes)
Personal watercraft rides
Free beach towel (first 50 paid participants to arrive)
$40 for participants $10 for non-participants (food costs). Limited transportation from the Anchorage office can be made on a first-reserved, first-served basis.
Access to the lake is around the back of the lodge on a grassy hill. There is access to a small indoor dining area and a bathroom. Access to the upstairs part of the lodge, including the deck is not allowed as these areas are open to lodge members only.
