Supporting Alaskan Families who care for children with special needs.
Stone Soup Group offers a secure environment for children with special needs and their families each December. We transform our office into the North Pole, complete with Santa’s Workshop and the Claus Home. Families can reserve a time for their child to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. While they wait, they work on holiday crafts and enjoy light refreshments in Santa’s Workshop. We take a picture of your child with the jolly man in red and send it by email to families.
We dedicate the first two hours (9am-11am) to sensory-friendly visits with Santa. These early slots are for children who have sensitivities to music, bright lights, and large groups of people.
Join Stone Soup Group on the first Tuesday of each month for a group discussion regarding IEP's and other special education related topics. These sessions are exclusively for parents, guardians and students with disabilities.
Information on various topics like special education, developmental disability, and more!
All sessions will be delivered via ZOOM video meetings
