Moving Up, Moving On

Moving Up, Moving On is an interactive program designed to teach youth with intellectual or developmental disabilities how to create maintain healthy relationships. Bully Prevention

Children with disabilities are bullied two to three times more than those without. This workshop focuses on children with disabilities and is designed for parents and professionals. Together, we explore the dynamics of bullying as well as what we can do to help children address this serious issue.

Employability: A Jobz Club Program

November 26 @ 3:00 pm - 4:15 pm

Over 4-weeks students will learn soft skills for employment. These will include skills such as communicating, teamwork, work hygiene, networking and work attitude. They will work through the State of Alaska Jobz Club curriculum as a group to identify goals such as completing a job application, signing up or applying for technical classes or scheduling a work assessment. Students will build an advocacy plan and learn about self-disclosure. Mondays and Wednesdays 3-4:15pm. For ages 14-22.
