Stone Soup Group is the result of hard work and contributions from many in our community. We are dedicated to using all donations effectively and responsibly in order to assist Alaskan families caring for children with special needs. We could not continue the work we do every day if it were not for community contributions, private contracts as well as state and federal grants.
Where is this funding going?
- Stone Soup Group serves over 1,200 individuals a year through one-on-one supports and services.
- These services are provided free of charge when families are overwhelmed with medical/provider bills and state paperwork.
- We are statewide with regional Parent Navigators throughout the state and travel for specialty screening clinics multiple times a year.

For more detailed information on the types of services, we provide visit our Programs & Services section of the site.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit we are funded through state and federal grants which make up the majority of our funding. These grants designate us as Alaska’s only Family-to-Family Health & Information Center; and the only Parent Training & Information Center. We are also affiliates of Family Voices and Parent-to-Parent USA. We also welcome partnerships with other entities like Providence Alaska Foundation and the Arctic Slope Native Association.
We thank you all for your guidance and support!
