Stone Soup Group is a statewide 501(c)3 non-profit that provides information, support, training and resources to assist families caring for children with special needs. We are staffed almost entirely by parents or family members of children with special needs, so we know the journey and work from a family centered philosophy. In short, we work to assist other families as they navigate through what is often an overwhelming and confusing process following a diagnosis or at times of transition later down the road.
At Stone Soup Group we understand that no family should have to navigate the system alone; and no single organization is the solution to everything. We are here to provide that link to relevant community resources so that Alaskan children and families living with special needs receive quality coordinated care and support. Our services are available statewide and most programs and services are no cost to families.
Stone Soup Group is the state’s designated Parent Training and Information Center (PTI) and the Family-to-Family Health Information Center (F2F HIC).
