FASD Family Support Project

Help, education and training for families supporting children and youth with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders

Welcome to the Alaska FASD Family Support Website.

This website was created for Alaskan families of children with prenatal alcohol exposure.
The goal of this website is to provide information about community-based diagnostic teams, local agencies and programs that work with families, children and adults affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).

In addition, this website contains helpful information on strategies for helping children with brain-based learning differences, a resource list of FASD resources and support groups, a reading list of books, videos and newsletters, and links to state and national FASD resources.

Alaskan parents and caregivers may also subscribe to a private listserv created specifically for them.

This listserv (a collection of e-mail addresses subscribed to special mailing list software through which everyone on the list will receive the same messages) is designed to be a safe place to share joys and frustrations, sadness and successes, stories and support.

Other topics will be added as time and interest allow. If you have a resource, a topic or a link you believe would be a useful addition to this site, please contact us.
